"I can't believe it. This is it! It's our last episode of Late Night," Fallon's final opening monologue began. "You know, I'm really going to miss being on TV at 12:37. I'll especially miss the battle for late-night ratings with my fierce rivals — Craig Ferguson and a veggie chopper infomercial."
And of course, Fallon couldn't resist getting in a few digs about the Sochi Olympics opening ceremony, which had just concluded. "There was a massive fireworks display — and that was just when someone tried to plug in a hairdryer at the hotel," Fallon joked, adding in a Russian accent: "Is not made for normal plug. It is eight-prong plug we use to electrocute and torture people."
Fallon also called on some advice for his new Tonight gig from some of his celebrity friends.
"You get a lot more ratings if you wear less clothes," Miley Cyrus suggested.
"Jimmy, always remember to wear your pants," Will Forte countered.
Fallon then welcomed special guests The Muppets on stage for a cover of The Band hit "The Weight."
