Jeremy London is wanted by police after they received a call from his girlfriend Friday morning saying that he assaulted her.
London's girlfriend called the Palm Springs Police Department and claimed that the two engaged in a violent argument over the custody of their child. She alleged that he assaulted her outside of their home, and according to Sgt. Kyle Stjerne, the woman had minor injuries. Her name has not been released.
"This is a false allegation and we understand that the police have to follow protocol in issuing an arrest warrant — standard when any woman files a complaint of domestic abuse," London's rep told People. "However, no such abuse occurred and these allegations will soon be proven false."
"Jeremy's legal counsel is cooperating with authorities and a factual account of the incident is on record," the statement continues. "We anticipate Jeremy to be cleared of any wrongdoing as he continues to enjoy fatherhood and embrace sobriety."
The actor, who is best known for his role as Griffin on Party of Five, was recently a patient on season 4 of Celebrity Rehab.
