Jenny McCarthy Slams Shia LaBeouf for Jim Carrey Dig: Don't Bring Children Into It

For someone who's "retired" from a public life, Shia LaBeouf cannot stay out of the headlines. On Sunday's Golden Globes, Jim Carrey poked fun at the former Disney star by saying, "Dying is easy. Comedy is hard...I believe it was Shia LaBeouf who said that." LaBeouf has been the butt of quite a few jokes after plagiarizing his 2012 short film HowardCantour.com from Daniel Clowes' comic Justin M. Damiano and then hiring a plane to skywrite an apology to Clowes. LaBeouf, who announced he was retiring from all public life last week, responded to Carrey's jab when he posted a YouTube video of Carrey's daughter's band and called Carrey out for his parenting skills.

For someone who's "retired" from a public life, Shia LaBeouf cannot stay out of the headlines.

Most notorious celebrity feuds

"At least I don't get arrested for indecency on major LA highways! Or abandon love child's," LaBeouf wrote before later apologizing. "Jim Carrey states that he is deeply involved in his daughter's life—I accept that. Regret tweet on the matter. Apologies to both parents."

More top moments from the 2014 Golden Globes

Now, Carrey's former girlfriend Jenny McCarthy is speaking up. The co-host addressed the matter on Tuesday's edition of The View. "You can attack [me], but don't bring my children into it. And I'm sure it's the same for Jim." She then added, "Jim and I have become friends now since our breakup. We dated for five years and I got to know his daughter, Jane, who is a lovely, lovely girl. It's completely uncalled for and wrong. Jim is a great father. He loves Jane more than anything in the world. Shia did apologize and Jim did take it, but the whole thing is, do not bring our children into it."

We're guessing it's only a matter of hours before the next response. What do you think of McCarthy's comments?
