Jennifer Mee, better known as "Hiccup Girl" after her chronic case of the hiccups was documented on the Today show in 2007, has been charged with first-degree murder.

Mee, 19, was arrested and charged Sunday, according to her booking information from Florida's Pinellas County Sherriff's Office.

Two other men, Laron Raiford, 20, and Lamont Newton, 22, were also arrested and charged alongside Mee. The three are accused of fatally shooting a man with a .38-caliber revolver during an armed robbery attempt in St. Petersburg, Fla., Saturday night, CNN reports.

"Jennifer Mee lured the victim to the address ... and Laron Raiford and Lamont Newton robbed him at gunpoint and took miscellaneous items from his person," St. Petersburg police Sgt. T.A. Skinner said in a statement.The victim, Shannon Griffin, 22, received three gunshot wounds to the chest and one to the shoulder. Griffin was pronounced dead at the scene, according to The St. Petersburg Times."All three suspects admitted to their involvement and were charged with first-degree felony murder," Skinner said.Mee gained national attention three years ago when she got a nonstop bout of hiccups for six weeks. Today show in search of remedies. After the hiccups were cured, she returned to the show for a follow-up interview.
