Jennifer Lopez not only hosted the American Music Awards on Sunday, but she also turned in the night's best performance.

The American Idol judge opened the show by dancing her way through an eight-minute medley the year's biggest hits, including Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk," The Weeknd's "Can't Feel My Face," Drake's "Hotline Bling," Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" and Nikki Minaj's "Anaconda" (as an unimpressed-looking Minaj watched).

As far as her own material, Lopez kicked off the performance with a reworked ballad version of "Waiting for Tonight," but then noted "Tonight's not about me. Tonight is about the music, and this year's music made me want to dance."
