Jason Lee to Guest Star on Raising Hope

Jason Lee has signed on to guest-star on an upcoming episode of Raising Hope, Fox announced Monday. Lee, 40, star will play Smokey Daniels, a washed up rock-star. Daniels is hired as the main act at Grocery-Palooza, a concert at the supermarket where Sabrina (Shannon Woodward) works. In the episode, titled "Burt Rocks," Burt (Garret Dillahunt) plays backup to Smokey as he tries to relive his own rock-star years.

Fox picks up Raising Hope for full season

Hope, starring Lucas Neff and Martha Plimpton, follows a young man who becomes a single dad and gets help from his family to raise the baby. The series comes from My Name is Earlcreator Greg Garcia. Lee starred as Earl for 4 seasons and now stars on TNT's Memphis Beat.

Raising Hope was the first freshman series to get a full pickup this year, adding nine episodes to its season.
