Former Veronica Marscast member Jason Dohring will officially reprise his role as Logan Echolls, series creator Rob Thomas announced Tuesday.

"We now have three actors officially cast. Veronica. Logan and the waiter who says, 'Your check, sir,'" Thomas wrote in a news alert sent through Kickstarter to supporters who donated money to help fund the movie (one of the big-ticket donors will play that waiter). Last month, the long-rumored film officially took shape when Thomas and series star Kristen Bell launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for the beloved, but underrated teen sleuth series.

Veronica Mars' Logan Echolls and more TV boyfriends who ruin your real-life relationships

The Kickstarter fund met its $2 million goal in less than 12 hours and has since raised more than $4.4 million. "My goal is to include as many of your favorite characters as possible. It is, after all, time for Veronica's 10-year high school reunion," Thomas wrote on the Kickstarter page.

Dohring, 31, played Neptune High's "obligatory psychotic jacka--" Logan, whose on-and-off girlfriend Lilly Kane died in Season 1. The son of an A-list actor, Logan evolved over the series run from Veronica's nemesis to her later love interest. Their relationship was left unresolved when the show was axed after three seasons.

Dohring most recently co-starred on the short-lived Ringer and guest-starred on Supernatural.
