James Corden Hilariously Spoofs Kanye West's Athletic "Fade" Video

It's really hard to work out in the same gym as Teyana Taylor

During Sunday's (August 28) VMAs, Kanye West premiered the music video for his song "Fade." The video stars singer Teyana Taylor, who does a sexy Flashdance-inspired dance routine in a gym. Then she turns into a cat-person and clings to her NBA champion fiancé Iman Shumpert's back while they and their baby are surrounded by a flock of sheep (it's a reference to another Kanye West song, "Wolves," but it's still pretty weird). The video has pretensions of being art.

On Monday's (August 29) Late Late Show, James Corden punctured that pretension by making a sketch about how annoying it would be to actually work out in a gym that had an oiled-up Amazon prancing around. Through some clever editing that places Corden in the video, the host plays a regular guy just trying to do his thing who's constantly disrupted by Taylor and her flock.

Corden has a knack for music video spoofs; his parody of Beyoncé's Lemonade was late night's best when Bey's visual album came out in April.
