The Casual Vacancy is a three-part miniseries based on Rowling's 2012 novel of the same name. The author executive-produced the adaptation, which tells the story of the tumultuous events in a seemingly idyllic English village following the death of a town council member.
Any Harry Potter fans hoping for more wondrous adventures be warned: Casual Vacancy is nothing like Hogwarts. Though, Michael Gambon, aka Albus Dumbledore, does star!
The Casual Vacancy's first two parts air Wednesday, April 29 on HBO. Part three will air Thursday, April 30.
