IFC has renewed Onion News Network for a second season and has green-lit four new original series, the network announced Tuesday.

Onion News Network, based on The Onion, the fake weekly newspaper and website, will return for a 16-episode second season — the largest order ever for an IFC series. The series joins previously renewed Portlandia and The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret.

IFC's new slate includes three docu-comedies — Commercial Kings, Whisker Wars and Bullet in the Face — and the nonfiction series Young, Broke & Beautiful.

Premiering Friday, June 24 at 10/9c, Commercial Kings follows YouTube stars Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal as they travel across the country to develop commercials for local businesses. The show is based on the comedy duo's website

Whisker Wars follows a group of men in the world of competitive facial hair-growing. The men — or "bearders" — compete for top honors in such contests at the National Beard and Mustache Championship and the World Competition. It will premiere Friday, Aug. 5 at 10/9c.

Slated to premiere in 2012, Bullet in the Face chronicles Gunter Vogler, a criminal-turned-cop after a jewelry heist goes wrong. After being taken into custody, Vogler is given a new identity and forced to infiltrate his old gang.

Young, Broke & Beautiful follows blogger Stuart Schuffman, who travels the country to find all that is weird and unique about each city. It will premiere Friday, June 24 at 10:30/9:30c.
