Hugh Jackman to Host Tony Awards

Hugh Jackman will host the 68th Annual Tony Awards on Sunday, June 8, CBS announced Tuesday.

Hugh Jackman will host the 68th Annual Tony Awards on Sunday, June 8, CBS announced Tuesday.

"We are thrilled to have Hugh Jackman return to host the Tony Awards," Jack Sussman, CBS Entertainment's executive vice president, said in a statement. "Hugh is the ultimate performer — actor, singer and dancer — he does it all, second to none. He is a consummate entertainer and the one you want out there hosting your live television event."

It will be Jackman's fourth time hosting the awards. He emceed the ceremony consecutively from 2003 to 2005, and won an Emmy Award in 2004 for doing so. He also won a Best Actor in a Musical Tony Award in 2004 for his role in The Boy From Oz, as well as a special honorary award in 2012.

The nominations for this year's Tony Awards will be announced on Tuesday, April 29.
