In the late '70s, Ted Bundy underwent many trials in several states for his horrific serial murders. In 1994, Clive Doyle was one of 11 Branch Davidians put on trial for charges stemming from the 1993 Waco siege. In 1997, Timothy McVeigh was put on trial for the 1995 bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. In 2011, Jodi Arias was put on trial for allegedly murdering her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander, in 2008. Lawyers had to defend each and every one of these infamous clients. But how did they do it?

In Defense Of is a new Oxygen mini-series comprised of four standalone episodes. Each episode examines the cases detailed above and the attorneys who represented them in court. The top defense lawyers in each case share their own take on their case, the trials they participated in, and their relationships with their infamous clients. Regardless of whether the defendant was convicted or acquitted, how did it change the lives and reputations of these lawyers? That's what If Defense of wonders, and it's an interesting point of view in this increasingly crowded true crime era.
