CBS in Talks for a How I Met Your Mother Spin-Off

The current season of How I Met Your Mother may be its last, but many fans aren't ready to say goodbye to Ted and Co. yet — and apparently, neither is CBS. The network is in talks with 20th Century Fox to develop a spin-off of the comedy told from a female perspective, Deadline reports.

How I Met Your Mother: A timeline of craziness (in pictures)

The project, titled (for now) How I Met Your Father, comes from HIMYM creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, as well as Up All Night creator Emily Spivey. It would revolve around a new group of friends in New York, and in particular one female member who's looking for a future husband. The new characters, who would have no connection to the current show's characters, may be introduced in the upcoming series finale of How I Met Your Mother.

Would you watch a spin-off of How I Met Your Mother?
