Hope Solo has been suspended from the U.S. women's national team for 30 days, U.S. Soccer announced. The suspension follows her husband Jerramy Stevens' DUI arrest on Monday.

Solo was with Stevens at the time of his arrest. Though she isn't facing any charges, TMZ reports that the soccer star was "acting belligerent," recorded the officers on her cell phone and was nearly arrested herself for disorderly conduct. U.S. Soccer cited "an incident" that occurred during the team's training camp in Carson, Calif., but did not offer details.

Scoop on returning winter shows

"During our current national team camp, Hope made a poor decision that has resulted in a negative impact on U.S. Soccer and her teammates," U.S. coach Jill Ellis said in a statement. "We feel at this time it is best for her to step away from the team."

Solo will miss two matches on Feb. 8 in France and Feb. 13 in England.

"I accept and respect the Federation's decision, and more importantly, I apologize for disappointing my teammates, coaches and the Federation who have always supported me," Solo said in a statement on Facebook. "I think it's best for me to take a break, decompress from the stress of the last several months, and come back mentally and physically ready to positively contribute to the team."

Solo's suspension comes barely a week since domestic abuse charges against her were dismissed. She was facing two counts of assault stemming from a drunken fight with her sister and nephew, but the charges were dropped when the victims refused to be interviewed by defense attorneys.
