The similarity was too out-of-left-field and timely to be coincidental. Yet serendipity is precisely what Honda's ad agency, RPA, is claiming in the wake of last week's Grey's Anatomy finale. In the season-ender, a young patient arrives at Seattle Grace encased up to his chin in cement. Midway through the episode, a Honda commercial airs, making light of a guy... encased up to his chin in cement. "It's an incredible coincidence," Honda's senior ad manager tells the New York Post. Adds the agency's account director, "Who knew being encased in cement was such a hot topic?"

Honda actually does have a product placement deal with a Thursday series: NBC's Last Comic Standing, where a comedian each week performs a comedy routine while sitting in a Pilot. - MWM
