Winter is coming... for at least two more years.

Less than 48 hours after the Season 4 premiere of Game of Thrones, HBO has renewed the series for Seasons 5 and 6, the network announced Tuesday.

Sunday's fourth season premiere drew the biggest audience for an HBO show since the Sopranos finale in 2007.

How closely did the Season 4 Game of Thrones premiere stick to the book?

"Game of Thrones is a phenomenon like no other," HBO President Michael Lombardo said in a statement. "[Executive producers] David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, along with their talented collaborators, continue to surpass themselves, and we look forward to more of their dazzling storytelling."

There are currently five books in the George R.R. Martin fantasy series on which the show is based, and Martin is working on the final two books. He's also said to be mulling a big-screen adaptation.

Game of Thrones airs Sundays at 9/8c on HBO. Are you happy the show has been renewed? What do you hope to see in Seasons 5 and 6?
