Boardwalk Empire's upcoming fifth season will be its last, HBO announced Thursday at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.

"We're thrilled to get the go-ahead for a fifth season of Boardwalk Empire," series creator Terence Winter said in a statement. "After much discussion with my creative team and HBO, we've decided to wrap up the series after such a great run and look forward to bringing it to a powerful and exciting conclusion." The fifth and final season of Boardwalk Empire will bow this fall.

Additionally, HBO announced the premiere dates for Game of Thrones, Veepand new half-hour comedy Silicon Valley. Game of Thrones' fourth season returns April 6 at 9/8c followed by the premiere of Veep's third season at 10/9c. Mike Judge's new comedy Silicon Valley will debut the same night at 10:30/9:30c. HBO will release the first trailer for Game of Thrones ahead of Sunday's True Detectivepremiere at 9/8c.

New comedy series Doll & Em, starring Emily Mortimer and Dolly Wells, will premiere Wednesday, March 19 at 10/9c.

Additionally, the network announced that Ryan Murphy's film adaptation of The Normal Heart, starring Julia Roberts and Mark Ruffalo,will debut in May. The new drama series from Lost's Damon Lindelof, The Leftovers, will launch this summer.
