"People underestimate what a big decision this was for me," the 17-year-old says in this weekend's Parade. "This is the next three or four years of my life. Being in the spotlight and the lack of freedom are the sort of things that held me back. People will see that as ungrateful, but you never know until you've walked in someone else's shoes.
