A judge ruled against Halle Berry Friday, disallowing her from permanently moving her daughter Nahla to France, TMZ.com reports.

Halle Berry drops out of film to fight for custody of daughter

The Oscar-winning actress (for 2001's Monster's Ball) has been fighting former boyfriend Gabriel Aubry for the right to permanently move their daughter Nahla to France. Berry argued that the paparazzi in Los Angeles made California a dangerous place to raise her daughter.

Berry and Aubry split in April 2010 after four years of dating. In December 2011, Berry's boyfriend Olivier Martinez proposed. Before her relationship with Aubry, she was married to singer Eric Benet and baseball player David Justice.
