ABC Family's hit show Greek will return from "winter break" this Monday at 8 pm/ET. TVGuide.com caught up with Scott Michael Foster, who plays the wise-cracking Cappie from the raunchy Kappa Tau fraternity at Cypress U. We were dying to know what happens to our favorite frat boy this semester.
TVGuide.com: Tell me about your relationship with Spencer Grammer (Casey). Do you guys have a lot of fun together, and did you have a lot of instant chemistry?
Scott Michael Foster: Oh yeah, she's awesome…. The whole cast, we all hang out together. It was really easy for us to play our roles because we [both think the other is] really cool, and we get along so well. So it's not a challenge to play like we're in love. If it was somebody who I thought is awful, that would be hard, but she's great.
TVGuide.com: What should we be expecting to see from Cappie this semester?
Foster: You might see Cappie and Rebecca's relationship change, bloom. At the end of the last season you see them together, but the entire second season is them trying to work their relationship out. Cappie and Casey are kinda put on the back burner — they know it'll happen some day, they just don't know when. And Cappie is trying to get Rusty to become more comfortable with his pledge brothers. He'll play big brother to him. It's all fun and rockets to him.
TVGuide.com: Were you surprised that they put you and Rebecca together in a relationship?
Foster: I was surprised because when we got closer to reading the script where we had more scenes together, I was like, "I don't think I've worked with this girl once!" It was cool to work with one of the other regulars that I hadn't worked with much. It was a lot of fun to have that different dynamic.
TVGuide.com: Do you think Rebecca's relationship with Cappie will soften her, or do you think her devious, evil side will pop back out again?
Foster: I think she definitely softens throughout the second season and you'll see that, because you can only play bad for so long. And she's still a freshman in college, so she has to have some love and forgiveness, which means that Cappie and Rebecca sort of grow up with each other.
