Exclusive Gotham Video: Can Anyone Stop the Penguin's Rise?

Gotham's Oswald Cobblepot certainly isn't wasting any time working his way up the food chain.
Since his return to Gotham, the Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) has quickly infiltrated the ranks of the Maroni crime organization and also buddied up with Detective James Gordon (Ben McKenzie). "He and Gordon now both need each other," Taylor says in the exclusive behind-the-scenes video below. "Oswald needs Gordon to help get him back on his feet and Gordon needs Oswald to not give him away."

Indeed, Oswald has Gordon over a barrel simply because Gordon chose to spare the Penguin's life in the pilot. "The decision Gordon made to not take Cobblepot's life, while seemingly the correct moral decision, is going to come back to haunt him," McKenzie says. "He is effectively responsible for the origin of this criminal mastermind."But even if Gordon is powerless to stop the Penguin, there's one other person Oswald should keep an eye on: his former boss Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith). "When Fish finally realizes that Penguin is still alive, she's going to have an utter meltdown," Pinkett Smith says. "Penguin is still under her skin, and I think she is going to try to take him out."But will she succeed? Or could the duo once again work together?
