Hugo Strange's (BD Wong) painful rehabilitation techniques continue in Monday's episode of Gotham as Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) progresses through therapy.

It seems that Penguin has graduated from his visual aversion therapy to real-life exercises, beginning with "The Ice Cream Test." To see whether Penguin's violent impulses and obsession with revenge are still lurking under the surface, Strange and Mrs. Peabody (Tonya Pinkins) give him the only serving of ice cream in the Arkham cafeteria. Naturally, the other patients become upset that they didn't get ice cream and Penguin is left to defend himself.

The Penguin we've always known would have fought back, or at the very least sworn to exact his revenge when he once again got the advantage. But the post-Strange Penguin just seems to take the punishment and that's just painful to watch.

Gotham airs Monday at 8/7c on FOX.
