We bet Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) will be pleased with this news.
Gary Cole will reprise his role as ballistics expert, and Diane's love interest, Kurt McVeigh on The Good Wife, TVGuide.com has learned.
Fringe's John Noble to visit The Good Wife as someone from Alicia's past
Affectionately known as "The Marlboro Man," McVeigh returns to help the team out on a case with his ballistics knowledge in an episode set to air sometime later this season. Cole has recurred on the series since Season 1 when he first caught Diane's eye despite their wildly different political views. Although she (sadly) decided to not to run off with him to Costa Rica in Season 2, he returned last year when Diane was juggling both Kurt and process server Jack Copeland (Bryan Brown). No word on where her and Kurt's relationship now stands, but we're excited to find out.
Cole has also recently guest-starred on Bob's Burgers, 30 RockRoyal Pains, Veep and Hart of Dixie.
Are you excited for the Marlboro Man to get back in the saddle on The Good Wife? Do you want him and Diane to be together? The Good Wife airs Sundays at 9/8c on CBS.
