Lockhart/Gardner's top private investigator is in desperate need of some TLC.

Juliet Rylance, who was to appear on the new season of The Good Wife as a possible love interest for Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) will no longer appear on the series, TVLine.com reports.

Rylance shot scenes for the Season 5 premiere that were later cut for time. Although there was a potential for her to recur, the English actress was technically only booked for that episode.

Best known for her role in the horror film Sinister, Rylance was set to play a party girl named Holly whose out-and-proud lifestyle would have been in major contrast to Kalinda's extremely private ways.

Maybe this will mean good news for Kalinda and Cary (Matt Czuchry)? The twosome seemed to be heating up at the end of last season just as Cary was crafting his plan to exit Lockhart/Gardner and start his own firm. Like always, it's never that easy with these two. "It's complicated by the fact that Kalinda would not leave with them, but Robyn is. There's a series of circumstances between Kalinda and Cary that makes it difficult for sexual affection to blossom because of what Cary is doing," co-creator and executive Robert King told TVGuide.com last month.

The Good Wife airs Sundays at 9/8c on CBS. Are you sad we won't be meeting Holly after all?

(Full disclosure: TVGuide.com is owned by CBS.)
