Gloria Estefan in Talks to Guest-Star on Glee

She'd play the mother of Santana (Naya Rivera), who recently came out of the closet. Santana claimed that her parents -- unlike the disapproving abuela we've already met -- were supportive of her.

Estefan's involvement would be the second piece of good news for Latin music fans. On Tuesday, it was reported that Ricky Martin is in talks to play McKinley High's Spanish teacher, a post that both Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison) and Holly Holliday (Gwyneth Paltrow) have filled.
On the big screen, Estefan appeared in Music of the Heart and made a cameo appearance in Marley & Me. Her TV credits include the HBO movie For Love or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story,guest-mentoring on American Idol and the 1998 special, Elmopalooza!
