Jessica Sanchez may have come in second to Phillip Phillips on American Idol this past May, but she may just come out on top on another Fox show.
The 16-year-old singer is in negotiations for a multi-episode arc on the new season of Glee, TVLine reports.

According to the site, the Fox musical plans to have her join the cast midway through the first half of Season 4 following the end of the Idols Live concert tour. Her character would compete for solos with existing members of the cast. However, it's unclear if Sanchez's Glee alter ego would compete with New Directions members or be based in New York — where Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) will begin performing arts school in the fall.
This won't be the first time Glee has pulled from the Idol roster for casting. Series regular Amber Riley auditioned for the singing competition during Season 2.

Before competing on Idol, Sanchez appeared as a contestant on the first season of America's Got Talent in 2006. The new season of Glee kicks off on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 9/8c on Fox.
