A familiar face will officially be returning to McKinley High in the fall.
With the Fox musical splitting storylines between Ohio and New York for the upcoming season, Overstreet's character, who had a recurring guest role last season, will remain in the former location, while other series regulars such as Lea Michele's Rachel head to the Big Apple.
In other Glee news, details have emerged about the previously announced guest roles for Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson this season. Parker will return to familiar Sex and the City territory, playing a journalist who runs Vogue.com, according to Access Hollywood. Glee co-creator and executive producer Ian Brennan told Access Hollywood that Parker's character will be "frazzled, eccentric and hilarious" and will interact with Rachel and other characters in New York City.
As for Hudson, she'll be playing Rachel's dance teacher at the New York Academy of Dramatic Arts. Her character's name will be Cassandra July.
Glee's fourth season premieres on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 9/8c.
