Glee and Modern Family tied for top honors at the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Media Awards in Los Angeles Sunday. Both comedy shows took home the award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
Project Runway received the award for Outstanding Reality Program. Producer Jonathan Murray accepted along with Season 8 runner-up Mondo Guerra, who revealed his HIV-positive status to his friends and family on the show.
Other winners included Kristin Chenoweth, who nabbed the Vanguard Award for her work to increase the visibility and understanding of the LGBT community in the media. NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt was honored with the Stephen F. Kolzak, which is presented to an openly lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equality for the LGBT community.

Other GLAAD Media Awards were presented in New York last month. The remaining awards ceremony for this year will be on May 14 in San Francisco.
