While participating in an "AMA" (Ask Me Anything) on RedditSunday, Anderson responded to a fan's query about the upcoming project with enthusiasm.

"OH MY GOD, I just looked it up online," she said. "Paul Feig, cast me now! Start a Twitter petition! I'm free!!!!! I'm free I'm free and I'm funny, goddamnit!"
She also hinted that a third X-Files movie is "kinda sorta" in the works. "Keep your ears to the ground," she teased.
Anderson, who was doing the AMA to promote her new science fiction novel A Vision of Fire, recently starred on Hannibal and on the NBC drama Crisis.
