Michael, 49, was hospitalized for more than a week after the car he was traveling in crashed on England's M1 motorway. Michaels, a passenger in the car, reportedly fell from the vehicle. He was taken to a local hospital and treated for "superficial cuts and bruises," according to a statement by his rep at the time.

Prior to the accident, Michael was also hospitalized for a month in 2011 with a severe case of pneumonia.

Best known for hit songs such as "Faith," "I Want Your Sex" and "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go," as one half of Wham, Michael released his most recent album, the greatest hits compilation 25, on 2006.
