Hinds will portray Mance Rayder, a former wildling child who joined the ranks of the Night's Watch. He later abandoned his post and became the leader of the wildlings, who call him the King Beyond the Wall. The wildlings captured Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and were taking him to meet Rayder at the end of Season 2.

Hinds, who currently stars in USA's Political Animals, is also well-known for his roles in Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and Munich.

Game of Thrones is currently shooting Season 3, which will premiere on March 31, 2013 on HBO.
