The Great War has arrived at Winterfell.

In the calm before the storm that will be the Battle of Winterfell, we were treated to another Game of Thrones episode that set the table for the upcoming battle against the army of the dead.

And even though the death count has been light so far this season, "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" packed so much into the hour.

Game of Thrones Complete Coverage | Episode 2 Review

After the cliffhanger in "Winterfell," we see Jaime Lannister successfully plead his case to join Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, and Sansa Stark's fight for the living. He owes it all to Brienne of Tarth, who vouches for the Kingslayer.

The two later strengthened their bond when -- after Tormund Giantsbane chugged "Giant's Milk" -- Jaime knighted Brienne in front of Davos Seaworth, Tyrion Lannister, Tormund, and the angel-voiced Podrick Payne.

Speaking of strengthening their bond, Arya Stark and Gendry -- after some major flirting in last week's episode -- finally got some alone time.

And down in the crypts, Jon Snow -- who had been avoiding Dany all episode -- finally revealed that he's really Aegon Targaryen, the rightful heir to the throne, which the Mother of Dragons did not appreciate.

Of course, before Jon and Dany could work things out, the White Walkers arrive for the much-anticipated Battle of Winterfell.

But where does the second episode of Season 8, "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" rank among the other Game of Thrones episodes? Find out now.
