Hot on the heels of new promo art, HBO released the first teaser trailer for Season 6 of Game of Thrones, which premieres April 24.
The teaser takes place in the Hall of Faces, the assassins' den where Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) has been living, and shows the disembodied, death mask-like faces of slain Starks Ned (Sean Bean), Robb (Richard Madden) and Catelyn (Michelle Fairley), among others, as they issue stern warnings to survivors. Then we see the dead faces of characters still alive as of last season, including Arya, Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage). The message is clear: No one is safe. Valar morghulis.
