John Bradley stopped byConan on Tuesday to debut a new clip from Game of Thrones' sixth season.

Bradley's character Samwell Tarly has been all but absent from the around-the-clock ad campaign and now we know why: Poor Sam trying to hold down a hurl on a boat to the Citadel doesn't exactly jibe well with these epic teases of vengeance and war.

However, we're grateful to finally get a look at Sam and Gilly (Hannah Murray), who are off to start a new life in Oldtown. Gilly is a much-needed breath of fresh air in this clip, all wide-eyed wonderment at the world around her — a stark comparison to all the other footage we've seen of Season 6.

In addition to his quest to become a maester and learn the secret to defeating the White Walkers (cough, dragon fire, cough), we'll also meet Sam's entire family this year. James Faulkner, Freddie Stroma, Samantha Spiro and Rebecca Benson will play the Tarly clan.

Game of Thrones returns Sunday, April 24 at 9/8c on HBO.
