You Got It, Dude! Full House Spin-Off Is Officially Coming to Netflix

The rumors are true: a Full House spin-off is coming to Netflix in 2016.

The streaming service announced Tuesday that it has ordered 13 episodes of Fuller House, which will star original cast members Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber, with John Stamos, who will serve as a producer, guest-starring. Bob Saget, Lori Loughlin, Dave Coulier, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are also in discussions to reprise their roles.

'90s shows that need a reboot

Fuller House will follow D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Cameron Bure), a recently widowed pregnant veterinarian raising two boys, 12-year-old J.D. and 7-year-old Max, in San Francisco. (Fear not, Steve fans: His last name is Hale, not Fuller.) D.J.'s sister Stephanie (Sweetin), an aspiring musician; her best friend Kimmy Gibbler (Barber); and Kimmy's teenage daughter Ramona decide to move in with D.J. to help her out with being a single mother.

More shows that need to reunite

Stamos shared further details about the sequel series on Jimmy Kimmel LiveMonday night, including that Netflix will premiere a one-hour reunion special before launching into 12 episodes. "It's a labor of love, and we've been literally trying for so many years to do it right," Stamos told Kimmel. "And I think we've finally got it perfect."
