Fox has given a series order to The Frankenstein Code, Deadline reports.

Get your first look at all the new fall shows

Formerly known as Frankenstein, the drama is a modern take on Mary Shelley's novel. Rob Kazinsky stars as Jimmy Pritchard, a corrupt retired cop who's given a second chance at life when he's brought back from the dead. Now Pritchard is forced to choose between his old temptations and his new sense of purpose. Dilshad Vadsaria, Adhir Kalyan, Tim DeKay and Ciara Bravo will co-star.

Howard Gordon (Buffy, The X-Files) will executive-produce The Frankenstein Code along with writer-creator Rand Ravich and director Michael Cuesta.

Fox has already given series orders to Rob Lowe's The Grinder, John Stamos' Grandfathered, the medical procedural Rosewood and the sitcom The Guide to Surviving Life.
