Bones is back. The long-running Fox series has been renewed for next season, which will mark the fan favorite show's ninth year on the air.

"After more than 150 episodes, Bones continues to be one of television's most dynamic and consistent dramas," says Fox Entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly, who announced the pick-up on Tuesday morning during the Television Critics Association's winter press tour. "We at Fox, along with millions of zealous fans, look forward to seeing were the incredible creative team takes the series next season."

Bones is back with new episodes beginning with a two back-to-back hours on Monday, Jan. 14 at 8/7c. In the episodes, "The Diamond in the Rough" and "The Archeologist in the Cocoon," the team looks into the murder of a professional ballroom dancer who was murdered right before auditioning for a popular dance competition show. (Hmm, as you know, Bones competes with ABC's Dancing with the Starscurrently on hiatus — for most of the year.)
