Get the latest on Fox's new and returning shows
Fox's future holds a lot of uncertainty since it will soon be part of Disney, clouding what's next for the network, and several of its veteran shows are right there on the bubble.
The good news is that Fox had a pretty good year last year with new shows. The Orville, 9-1-1, The Gifted and The Four were renewed for a second season, well before the deadline. And the only veteran show saying goodbye on its own terms is New Girl, meaning Fox had a lot of leeway to determine which other old shows will stick around and which will give way to new series.
The network traded edgy comedies like The Mick and Brooklyn Nine-Nine (which got a last minute save from NBC), to go a little more conservative, literally. Fox picked up Last Man Standing after it was dumped by ABC in 2017 along with The Cool Kids and Rel, starring Get Out's Li'l Rel Howery.
