Two of the minds behind critical favorite Parks and Recreation are bringing their next comedy to Fox. Parks executive producer/co-creator Michael Schur and co-executive producer Dan Goor have landed a pilot order at Fox for a new half-hour show.
The untitled project is a single-camera comedy about "a diverse group of detectives in a precinct at the very edge of New York City." Schur and Goor will executive produce with David Miner.
The news comes the same day Schur — known to viewers as "Mose" on The Office — signed a big new deal at Universal TV, where he'll also continue to oversee Parks. Goor's recent Parks writing credits include the episodes "Campaign Shake-Up" and "The Trial of Leslie Knope." He has also worked on The Office and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
