Fear the Walking Dead may not be as popular as The Walking Dead, but AMC still looks out for its fans.

On Monday the network revealed a new FTWD webseries called Passage, the first episode of which is currently available on AMC.com. New episodes of the 16-part series will premiere during episodes of the upcoming seventh season of The Walking Dead (Sundays, starting Oct. 23) and be available on AMC.com and AMC's mobile apps. Passage's episodes are about a minute in length — the first episode is 50 seconds long.

AMC did a similar thing before Season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead with Flight 462, a short tie-in webseries that also premiered new episodes during The Walking Dead.

The plot of Passage is not yet clear, but it's going to be about a hardcore zombie-killer helping an injured woman survive. Maybe it will connect to the American paramilitary outfit our survivors on Fear met during the Season 2 finale? Flight 462 never connected to Fear in a satisfying way, so maybe Passage will get it right.

Fear the Walking Dead will return for a third season in April 2017.

The Walking Dead Season 7 premieres Sunday, Oct. 23 at 9/8c on AMC.
