Legendary showbiz caricaturist Al Hirschfeld, whose celeb drawings appeared in numerous publications (including TV Guide), died in his sleep Monday at his home in New York. He was 99. Some of Hirschfeld's most famous subjects included Charlie Chaplin, Woody Allen and Jerry Seinfeld. The artist was known for hiding the word "Nina," the name of his daughter, in the lines of his drawings. For TV Guide, Hirschfeld illustrated series like Ally McBeal and All in the Family. His most recent cover was a post-Sept. 11 tribute featuring the American flag.
