Farrah Fawcett's cancer battle didn't stand in the way of throwing a birthday celebration for her longtime partner Ryan O'Neal.
Fawcett hosted the party at her home Monday, the actress' friend Alana Stewart told People. Stewart also cleared up the belief that Fawcett only weighs 86 pounds after her son, Redmond O'Neal, suggested as much during a hearing for drug charges last week.
"Farrah is not 86 pounds," Stewart said. "Redmond is young and overreacted a little. Farrah has lost weight, but not that much. No, no, no."
Instead, Stewart says Fawcett is in good spirits and is recovering well from her early April hospitalization for internal bleeding not directly related to her cancer. "I just saw her last night and she looked better. She had color in her face and was talking and laughing."
