The golden age of TV is happening now.
With fast-growing and endless technological advancements, 52 percent of viewers say it's better to be a TV fan now more than ever, according to TVGuide.com's Fall 2011 TV Survey. And why not? Between new apps, gadgets and social TV features, like our very own Watchlist, fans have more ways to watch their favorite shows and stay connected with friends and fellow couch potatoes.
It also helps that the content itself is top-notch, as 36 percent say that this TV season is better than last year's. Among users' favorite new shows: Revenge, Person of Interest and Terra Nova.
Our Watchlist users also have a lot to gloat about because they correctly predicted this season's new hits: Eight of the top 10 most-added freshmen series have been picked up for full seasons (and ABC just ordered five new scripts of another, Pan Am). Who said watching TV makes you dumb? Clearly, it's made TVGuide.com users smarter.
The complete results of the survey (also embedded below), which surveyed 5,897 respondents in October 2011, were presented by TVGuide.com at Friday's Mashable Media Summit in New York.
