Nip/Tuck's Christian Troy and Sean McNamara are giving new meaning to the word "shallow" as part of their move to Beverly Hills. As of today, TV's favorite plastic surgeons can be seen in hologram-like form by anyone visiting the Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, California. The video presentation is part of a promotion for the FX series' Oct. 30 Season 5 premiere.FX hired viZoo, a Denmark-based company that develops new media with an "edge," to produce content showing Drs. Troy and McNamara taking bandages off a fussy patient. "We're turning a 2-D image into '3-D' imagery," explains viZoo's technical director. "It's an illusion.
