If you're wondering whether Fox's Batman prequel drama series Gotham will be campy like the Adam West TV series or dark and gritty like the Christopher Nolan films, the answer might just be both.
In the exclusive new teaser below, which also features exciting new footage from the series, executive producer Bruno Heller suggests that Gotham will embrace a sense of duality on many fronts.

"The great thing about Gotham is it encompasses so many different worlds," Heller says. "The tone is both fun and dark. It's sexy but dangerous. It's a world of craziness and a world of beauty. And the show encapsulates all of that."
Gotham stars Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, an idealist hoping to clean up the mean streets of Gotham. The series also stars Donal Logue as Gordon's gruff partner Harvey Bullock, Jada Pinkett Smith as crime boss Fish Mooney, and David Mazouz, Robin Lord Taylor and Camren Bicondova as young versions of Bruce Wayne, Oswald Cobblepot (The Penguin) and Selina Kyle (Catwoman), respectively.
Check out the teaser below. Gotham will air this fall on Mondays at 8/7c on Fox.
