Ethan Hawke: Celebrity Marriage Is a "Huge Pressure"

Ethan Hawke hints at the circumstances surrounding his 2004 split from wife
Uma Thurman, with whom he has two children, ages 8 and 4. Confessing that he "never wanted to be too hot," but instead prefers to fly under the radar, Hawke says being wed to another celebrity took its toll. "I didn't like being famous when I was single, and what it did to my celebrity status to be married to another famous person was a huge pressure," he shares. "One I didn't enjoy." Citing half of today's most headline-making duo, Hawke marvels, "I don't know how Brad Pitt does it."
