END OF AN ERA

Legendary Method actor Marlon Brando died Thursday of undisclosed causes at an L.A. hospital. He was 80 years old. The two-time Oscar winner was best known for his stunning performances in A Streetcar Named Desire, On the Waterfront and The Godfather. Brando's last film role was in 2001's The Score. Offscreen, the Omaha, Nebraska, native was known as a "difficult" personality, to put it mildly. Back in 1973, for example, he infamously refused his Godfather Oscar in protest of Hollywood's treatment of Native Americans. True fans can't help but think of Brando's role as a motorcycle punk in The Wild One. When asked what he's rebelling against, Brando replied: "Whattaya got?" Here's to you, Marlon.
