Enchanted Bewitches the Holiday Box Office

Disney's
Enchanted topped the box office with a $35.3-million three-day haul, and has taken in $50.5 mil since Wednesday - the second-best five-day Thanksgiving opening ever (behind
Toy Story 2's $80.1 mil).
This Christmas placed second with $18.6 mil.
Rounding out the top five were
Beowulf ($16.2 million for the three-day weekend), the video-game adaptation
Hitman ($13 mil in its debut) and
Bee Movie ($12 mil).
Among other bows,
August Rush came in seventh with $9.4 mil, while
The Mist premiered in ninth with $9.1 mil.
