Report: Into the Wild Actor Emile Hirsch Assaulted a Female Film Executive at Sundance

Into the Wild actor Emile Hirsch may have gotten into some trouble at the Sundance Film Festival. Hirsch got into a physical altercation with a female executive from Paramount Pictures early Sunday morning, The New York Post reports.

The incident reportedly happened at Tao nightclub in Park City, Utah. It's not known what the cause of the alleged assault was, but a witness said "something happened between the movie exec and [Hirsch]," and the exec reported to security that she had been assaulted.

After police arrived on the scene at 3:30 a.m., Hirsch complied with officers and stayed on the scene to answer questions. He was allowed to leave around 5 a.m.

Hirsch is in Utah to promote his film Ten Thousand Saints.
