Ellen Pompeo has closed a deal that will keep her on Grey's Anatomy for the show's upcoming 13th season, Deadline reports. It's a good thing, too, because her character's name is in the title, and it would be awkward to have to change the name this late in the show's run.
Pompeo reportedly earns more than $300,000 per episode, making her one of the highest-paid actresses on television.
Pompeo was one of several Grey's Anatomy cast members whose contracts expired at the end of Season 12. Sara Ramirez has left the show, while Chandra Wilson, Justin Chambers, James Pickens Jr. and Kevn McKidd are all expected to return.
